1967 Travelall w/ Nat'l Geographic Society Signage

See it on a map! Los Angeles is a pretty amazing place. Just check out this 1967 International Travelall for sale. Big deal, it's a piece of junk. Right? Yes, but what caught my eye was the sticker on the side of this thing. "National Geographic Society." I'm not sure why or how it has that on the side, but I thought it would be interesting to photograph. Who knows, some old geographer reading this stuff may realize that this the vehicle that may have saved their butt in the Congo or something. Anyway, something to think about.

Think of all the "native" bobbies that were seen in that vehicle.

Aren't Bobbies policemen in the UK? Maybe that is what anon was talking about? I like bobbies has an interesting ring to it.

I just happen to own this thing. Before I painted it I found the lettering "los angeles county of natural history" on the side. Anyone have more information on this thing. I have spent quite some time rebuilding this thing. Mason 760-975-6087.

Well, I don't really suppose this is likely to have effect.
